A new year brings new movies! Fun Size Horror brings you a list of upcoming horror films for 2017. There are a lot of films to account for therefore we will be adding to this list throughout the year, and will only include films that have a release date. Note: These are in no particular order. Mark your favorites in your calendar! 

ANNABELLE 2- August 11th

Several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker's possessed creation, Annabelle.  

FLATLINERS - August 18th

Medical students experiment on "near death" experiences that involve past tragedies until the dark consequences begin to jeopardize their lives.  "More of a sequel" than a remake of the 1990 movie.

ALIEN: COVENANT - May 19th

Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created, with ALIEN: COVENANT, a new chapter in his groundbreaking ALIEN franchise. 

GET OUT - February 23rd

Now that Chris and his girlfriend, Rose, have reached the meet-the-parents milestone of dating, she invites him for a weekend getaway upstate with Missy and Dean. As the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he could have never imagined.  

ABRUPTO - May 31st

Les Hackel is a guy down on his luck who wakes to find an explosive device has been implanted in his neck. He must carry out heinous crimes in order to stay alive while trying to identify the mastermind manipulating the now twisted and strange world around him.

FRIDAY THE 13th - October 13th

Jason returns! But, it's doubtful the movie will be as good as the video game.

A CURE FOR WELLNESS - February 17th

Gore Verbinksi's latest film tells the story of an employee (DeHaan) who is sent to rescue his boss from a European “wellness spa” but soon realizes he's trapped, and discovers that the facility has a more sinister purpose than just serving the health needs of its patients.

ARBOR DEMON - February 3rd

From Fun Size Horror friend and filmmaker, Patrick Rea, this indie feature tells the story of campers fighting for survival while their shelter is destroyed. Secrets and supernatural stories come to light, and they must determine if the real threat is inside or outside their enclosure.

RINGS - February 3rd

A new chapter in the RING horror franchise. "A young woman becomes worried about her boyfriend when he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it. She sacrifices herself to save her boyfriend and in doing so makes a horrifying discovery: there is a “movie within the movie” that no one has ever seen before."

KEEP WATCHING - March 24th

A family become imprisoned in their own home by intruders must play a life-and-death game in which the mysterious rules become clear as the night unfolds.  

IT - September 8th

The new production of Steven King's classic novel is highly anticipated and quite controversial. In a small town in Maine, seven children known as The Losers Club come face to face with life problems, bullies and a monster that takes the shape of a clown called Pennywise.

MANIAC COP - October 1st

Follows a murderous cop who returns from the dead to patrol the New York City streets and kill those who turn to him for help.

SAW LEGACY - October 28th

PERSONAL SHOPPER - March 10th

Even after, or maybe because of, getting booed at Cannes, this film is intriguing. Maureen is a young American in Paris making her living as a personal shopper for a celebrity. She may have the psychic ability to communicate with spirits, and soon starts receiving mysterious messages from an unknown source.  

SUSPIRIA - October 13th

A remake of Argento's 1977 movie. A young ballet dancer travels to a prestigious dance academy in Berlin in 1977, only to discover it is a front for something far more sinister and supernatural amidst a series of increasingly grisly murders.  

WORLD WAR Z 2 - June-ish

Little is known about the film that David Fincher is rumored to be directing. Of course, the mystery around the plot has only built anticipation of this sequel. 

XX - February 17th

XX is a horror anthology featuring all female directors, telling stories with female leads that is being produced by XYZ Films (THE RAID, TUSK) . The XX anthology will be comprised of short horror films by Karyn Kusama (GIRLFIGHT, JENNIFER’S BODY), Mary Harron (AMERICAN PSYCHO), Jennifer Lynch (SURVEILLANCE), and Jovanka Vuckovic.
