The director of 'The Orphanage' and 'The Impossible' returns with a dark fantasy tale.

Based on the novel of the same name by Patrick Ness, A Monster Calls looks to be a visually lush fantasy/ drama from Juan Antonio Bayona (The Orphanage, The Impossible), spinning a dark tale concerning a 12-year-old boy (Lewis MacDougall) who struggles with his mother's illness and bullies by losing himself in "a fantastical world of monsters and fairy tales that explore courage, loss, and faith."

Starring the aforementioned MacDougall, Felicity Jones, Toby Kebbell, Liam Neeson, and Sigorney Weaver, A Monster Calls is set for an October 14, 2016 release.
