Attention Austin-based Fun-Sizers: our friends at the Alamo Drafthouse need your help to aid a very good cause. And in the process of helping, you'll see a mind-meltingly wacky film as well as take part in an auction featuring hotshot items from Mondo and Fantastic Fest. Check it out:

"Kitty Myers and Rockie Juarez are long-time members of the Drafthouse family and tireless supporters of what we do at Fantastic Fest. On February 27, Kitty was involved in a terrible car accident, and she's currently fighting for her life and has sustained brain injuries. Rockie and Kitty have two sons, one of whom has autism, and they need our help.

"On Sunday, March 20th, the Alamo Drafthouse Ritz in downtown Austin is hosting a benefit screening of Jackie Chan's THE YOUNG MASTER on 35mm, with proceeds going to Kitty and Rockie to help with medical bills and childcare. At the screening, we'll have a silent auction with exclusive, covetable items from Mondo, Fantastic Fest and BMD available for purchase.

"We're calling on the community to help! GET YOUR TICKETS HERE. If you can't attend and still want to help, please consider donating and/or sharing Kitty's GoFundMe page HERE.

Not only is it for a good cause, but Jackie Chan's The Young Master is required viewing for genre film fans--the film (which Chan wrote, directed, starred in, and wrote/performed the theme song for) is a wild and wacky martial arts action film packed tight with humor and charm. In it, Chan plays a martial artist named Dragon, who is tasked with tracking down his wayward brother (who sabotaged a martial arts competition and was then framed for bank robbery) while also attempting to dodge a local police chief (who mistakes Dragon for a criminal). Trust us: it's nuts, and highly entertaining.
